As a new member of #TheMidnightHowl, we welcome you to our chat. There are some rules and guidelines you are expected to follow. These were set in place to make your experience in our room as enjoyable as it can be.

FAQ #287: What rules apply to the Chat Network?

Our Specific Rules:

1) No unnecessary spam

2) Please show respect to all members. Don’t complain if someone is being mean to you because of what you said to them first.

3) As usual, no unnecessary drama over something trivial and pointless. If there is a serious issue, contact someone in the Moderation staff (listed in our Title section), or myself. ( ~Kygoski-Skyblue ) Be sure to provide chatlogs of the events for concrete evidence!

4) Please use proper grammar and communicate intelligently.  “Dun b tlk’n lyk dis wen u r in deh chatz.” Proper grammar allows people to talk you more seriously and lessen confusion when you are interacting with other. Anyway, it’s annoying talking to someone who cannot form a legible sentence.

5) No over-the-top displays of affection. Cuddling and light playfulness is fine, but when it gets to the point of you doing sexual things with each other, it becomes a DeviantART rule violation and can get the room shut down.

6) While you can say curse words, please do not use them excessively when they are unneeded.

7) No advertising of other chatrooms, pages, etc.

8)  We'd prefer it if you didn't idle but if you do, please put up an away message.

9) You may or may not be devoured.

10) NO IGNORING MODS/OPERATORS. This is a clear sign of disrespect and if they post something to everyone and you do not see it, you may get in trouble for doing just what was warned against.

-PROMOTION-

Once you come in, if you decide to join the chat you may do this yourself. Simple type in the following into the text bar: /promote yourusername to theclassyouwant

Further promotion is earned via leadership skills and if someone thinks you are ready, have been there long enough.

~:Kicking and Banning:~

If you break a rule, do something a mod governs is something you're not supposed to, you will be warned. If you continue, you'll be kicked. Continue and you'll be silenced. If you continue after you're unsilenced or evade the silencing via another account, you'll be banned.

Amendments:

I. It is fine to idle, but not for sleeping for extended periods of time. If you need to sleep or leave, please sign out of the room.
